I have a e commerce system that has been built predominantly in Ultracart and currently I believe the home page only of the site is a Drupal page' with the rest being Ultra cart pages.

There are 2 specific things I want to do for which I am extremely confused about.

1) As with any e commerce shop there are always products that products that have different sizes and colours but the product is exactly the same.

I want to be able to show the different colours and sizes all on the one page for a product, rather than have all separate pages.

My programmer is insisting that for this to happen that Drupal must be integrated with UC using their API, which he says will take 1-2 weeks.

I am not sure that is necessary. Any thoughts are appreciated?

2) We want to put a light box onto only 1 thumbnail image of a specific product and again I think this can be done in UCart, only I can`t seem to find any mention of doing this in the UC manual.

Again my programmer is saying that the 2 systems must be integrated via API?

Hi Andy,

Good to hear from you. Not sure if I can help, but I will try. If you are unclear as to what your designer wants to do..I suggest getting a second opinion from another technical person/designer..maybe a friend or random question to someone online. There might be a designer on this board that can help?

How much experience does your programmer have with Ultracart? If he has done many sites before, maybe he would be right with the integration of the API. Sometimes third party software isn't what its cracked up to be.
